Q. 1. Calculate the baud rate against given bit rates by following the methods of given modulation techniques against each bit rate. Write all necessary steps, formulas and units. Also write any 2 possible constellation points of given modulation techniques by considering their given configuration changes (amplitude, phase). [ 15 Marks ]

a) 4000 bps 16QAM
b) 25000bps 32QAM

Solutio:
A) QAM16 encodes 5 bits per symbol (2^4=16).
Baud rate = symbol rate = bit rate / bits per symbol
= 4000 bps / 4 bits per symbol = 1000
B) QAM32 encodes 5 bits per symbol (2^5=32).
Baud rate = symbol rate = bit rate / bits per symbol
= 25000 bps / 5 bits per symbol = 5000
C) QAM64 encodes 6 bits per symbol (2^6=64).
Baud rate = symbol rate = bit rate / bits per symbol
= 48000 bps / 6 bits per symbol = 8000

In Q# 1 You have to just write the variation values (combination of amplitude and phase) that can be in given techniques.
